Filming Day 6

Today was just the siblings up in Blythe. We started with a scene that involved a lot of set design setting up. I had tents, crates, water jugs, tarps and spears to account for and the weather wasn't on my side because it was so windy, putting up the tents was a hassle. After make-up was done, my set was finished too however there were some horses getting closer and then we were made aware that this was private land so had to pack up and move only a few metres away. Annoyingly, this cost us some time but we managed to make up for it later.

Role Change

At the beginning of production, I was going to be on the camera team and be the clapper loader as well as fill out camera report sheets and assist the camera operator. However, after weeks of speculation, I decided to change roles from a minor role, to a bigger role of script supervisor.  When I was first assigned my role, it was the only role I had ever done in any films I'd been on previously so I knew what I was doing. However, since then I have been script supervisor on other films and because it's dissertation I needed a bigger role to really show what I can do. The Road Screening

We had another screening today of The Road. This is a film I had seen before and liked the look and overall style and colour that it has. We took inspiration from both films we watched in the cinema over the past two days which was a good idea because it really helped everyone to understand the tone and direction that we wanted to go for with our film.
