Filming Day 3

As joe is now in the edit room every day Jen is now responsible for filming behind the scenes footage. As i am editing the bts video i had to ask her to film certain parts of the shooting day so that the idea i had for what the video would look like would work. Unfortunately I didn't get all the footage i would have liked to include in the video and also would have liked the quality to have been better but there was just enough footage to work with in the end of the day.

More bad news came today when we found out someone who had donated £100 had backed out from the kickstarter fund so that meant the budget suffered a big loss which meant both Lauren and I suffered a lot as we've spent hundereds on the film on props, set design, costume and make-up but setback aside, its all for the film and the set i made today looked great. I used the tent and tape to make it look older and more worn down as well as creating a lived in camp for the siblings in the woods to make it appear as though they had been there for a while. by making it look lived in with a makeshift wall made out of branches, it helps the story of maggie wanting life to be more like it was with humans and civilisation. By having Johnathans mark set up so that he would step into the camp it made him more obtrusive and more of a threat to the siblings

Role Change

At the beginning of production, I was going to be on the camera team and be the clapper loader as well as fill out camera report sheets and assist the camera operator. However, after weeks of speculation, I decided to change roles from a minor role, to a bigger role of script supervisor.  When I was first assigned my role, it was the only role I had ever done in any films I'd been on previously so I knew what I was doing. However, since then I have been script supervisor on other films and because it's dissertation I needed a bigger role to really show what I can do. The Road Screening

We had another screening today of The Road. This is a film I had seen before and liked the look and overall style and colour that it has. We took inspiration from both films we watched in the cinema over the past two days which was a good idea because it really helped everyone to understand the tone and direction that we wanted to go for with our film.
