Filming Day 4

Today we were up in Thrunton Woods again filming the scene where Jonathan meets the siblings. This involved a lot of set design and set up. I pitched the tent I was using for the siblings which everyone especially Dan were pleased with. Using the black tape I bought for the supply box, I put some on the tent to make it look as though there were tears in it and it was well used and not brand new as well as covering it in dirt to make it look worn. Around the camp I pulled branches and twigs to make it look more lived in and not just a tent in the middle of the woods.

Role Change

At the beginning of production, I was going to be on the camera team and be the clapper loader as well as fill out camera report sheets and assist the camera operator. However, after weeks of speculation, I decided to change roles from a minor role, to a bigger role of script supervisor.  When I was first assigned my role, it was the only role I had ever done in any films I'd been on previously so I knew what I was doing. However, since then I have been script supervisor on other films and because it's dissertation I needed a bigger role to really show what I can do. The Road Screening

We had another screening today of The Road. This is a film I had seen before and liked the look and overall style and colour that it has. We took inspiration from both films we watched in the cinema over the past two days which was a good idea because it really helped everyone to understand the tone and direction that we wanted to go for with our film.
