Groups

Yesterday we got into our dissertation groups. However, there was stress put on the fact that this is dissertation now not just another group project. This is the biggest most important piece of work of the whole time at university. After being unhappy with the group I was in, I looked to another group and asked if I could join with them even though they had been in a group for a few months by now already.  Today they let me know that I could be in their group after talking about it in the group. 

The First Lesson

Today we had our first ever dissertation lesson... NOTES Produce a major piece of work Any genre for any platform Ideally multi platform like a website TV, Film, Radio, Web, Digital medial Contract of roles Outline what role you're going to do so they know what to assess you on Group work i.e film and TV need a website (including behind the scenes) Will be given a supervisor that you must keep in touch with Keep a blog or online diary which will help with your evaluation Assessment 001 = 10% Production of a detailed research and production plan and pitch for the project (all production stuff) done before christmas and in production after christmas Assessment 002 = 50% Assessment 003 = 40% Reflect on your role in the production process in the production of an online blog or website.
