Alex's Dissertation Blog - Feed Me To The Wolves

Today our kickstarter page was launched (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/joehelyer/feed-me-to-the-wolves-a-short-film-by-aurora-filmw) We had managed to reach almost half of our target by the end of today! Being successful with our kickstarter will benefit us greatly as we need as much money as we can along with our own individual contributions of £100 to be able to afford things like costume, props, set, make up, actors petrol and locations. Since coming back after christmas and after the pitch we had to decide if we were going to stick with Feed Me to the Wolves or go with another idea that we had at the start which was a Boxing themed film.  After a point being raised in the pitch about doing a similar idea to another group, we were a little set-back and disheartened about continuing with our idea.  However, why should another group doing a similar idea stop us. There are many films of similar themes that are vastly different in the real world and it shouldn't stop us from creating ours as Dan has written a really good script for it. This does however mean we've spent a lot of time considering other possibilities and haven't been able to focus 100% on developing Feed me to the Wolves. Hopefully we will be back on track schedule wise very soon.
