Table Read

Round at the producer's house we all got given copies of the current script and did a table read. This really helped me to understand the idea as we got to read it all together and then discuss elements we thought worked or didn't work but this script everyone including me thought was very good especially so early on.

The Road Screening

We had another screening today of The Road. This is a film I had seen before and liked the look and overall style and colour that it has. We took inspiration from both films we watched in the cinema over the past two days which was a good idea because it really helped everyone to understand the tone and direction that we wanted to go for with our film.

Stakeland Screening

We had a screening of a film called Stakeland to help us get an idea of what direction we wanted our film to go in. I'd never seen this film before and it had far too many zombie type creatures in it for me to enjoy however that's not the kind of thing we are having in our film. Stakeland was more to see the story and take inspiration from that.

Film Name

After the lesson today we met and discussed more in depth about the 2 options and which one we wanted to go for after voting. We decided to go with option D which is a post-apocalyptic film. We also came up with a name - 'Feed Me To The Wolves'.

First Meeting and My New Role

After having a massive struggle changing groups and getting organised today was the first meeting. In the group we had 3/4 potential ideas and treatments written that we went through and discussed. We then narrowed it down to 2 ideas and talked about what each persons role was and as I was new to the group it was decided that I was the second AC. This will be a good role for me because with the limited knowledge and experience I have of working on a film, I know what I am doing and this is the most important thing as it is dissertation.  We also talked about budget and that everyone would chip in £100 to also help start the fundraising page we need to help fund the film.
